Maybe he feels more at home with a team full of thugs. Maybe he has a plan to start drafting a lot of thugs so they can start a crime organization.

Brooks is a good pickup that would have been a first rounder if he could stay away from off-field issues and the bud. We'll see what happens.

Brooks did not commit any crimes, beside using drugs. He hasn't killed anyone, etc, so I feel Lewis is not even a close comparision.

Well how many people did Ray Lewis kill before he was drafted?

How many times did Lewis fail a drug test in college?

Was Lewis ever kicked off his college team?

Your probably right about the comparison this kid has the potential for so much more.

Ok so let me get this straight. Since Lewis did not really do any of those before he was drafted, and because Brooks did fail drugs tests and got kicked of his team, he will be "much more" than Lewis? You are implying that using weed and his issues with the team, will cause him to worst than Lewis, which would mean Brooks could be worst than a murderer. The main prob with Brooks is that he loves the reefer; how in the world is that gonna make him kill someone? You can not seriously sit here and tell me smoking weed makes you a thug and commit crimes, because that is untrue. Ricky smokes weed, has he killed anyone?

Weed doesn't do anything that will make you commit crimes, it just makes you a pothead, which is far from a killer. I never said he would successful in the league, I just think he is a good player, and if he lays off the pipe he could be good in the NFL, but that is a big if.

Again, Lewis is terrible comparision for Brooks, unless you seriously believe weed is some kind of gateway to worst things. If you seriously think that, then you need to stop watching government anti-drug commericals lol.

I expect a hell of a lot from any player who was passed over by thirty two teams seven times.

he was passed on by 32 teams twice and a couple 3 times. he wasn't in the normal nfl entry draft.

sort of, i mean, it goes like a normal draft as far as order though, so if any team with a better record than the bengals wanted to use a 3rd they could, but once you pass you don't get to go back i don't believe. we didn't have a 3rd to use though, so we'd have had to use a 2nd (not that gibbs would really consider it).

what i don't like is everyone always copping the "this guy was supposed to be a 1st rounder" line for any player. Leon washington was supposed to be the #1 RB taken, sh*t happened, he was the 9th and that's where he should have gone. rodrique wright would have been a first rounder, but he screwed up and became a 7th rounder.

getting kicked off your team for whatever reason is a legitimate enough reason to drop. he's not the first guy to have all world talent and off field problems that might make him a monetary risk. what if he signs his contract and gets lazy or decides to start smoking again? even though it's not as bad as wife beating or whatnot, the league can still suspend you for it.

I think we have a 3rd, and traded our 2nd to NY.
