Backs are all hurt

Portis done for preseason hoping ready for game 1 but hoping this pain doesnt return. How ready is Betts with his hamstring injury? KCarter out. WIll Lumsden play with his Hip? I had that before not serious beyond 2 days.

Our backfield just got decimated in preseason camps.
The only thing I am worried about is long term risk to Betts/Portis. Say a prayer everyone.

If this was the regular season I think these guys would be ready to go... except for Portis of course.

I think the team will be ready for week 1. If that means Springs and Portis are both out due to injury, then thats what happens. Gibbs is gonna be ready for the home opener vs Viks. I think we'll be alright.
Im glad to see Viks WR K. Robinson is having his usual problems with the law.

C.Greenway done too. Koren was huge in their special teams.

Betts and Lumsden are practicing and Cartwright is ahead of Lumsden on the depth chart anyway. They are fine. Betts is going to have a huge week one, then CP knocks down Texas Stadium...

Re: Backs are all hurt

Betts was practicing on tuesday and looking good. A very strong back-up. There are few positions on this team where i think back-ups can do a good job which are RB, WR and maybe QB(because there isn't a big drop off). THe rest of our back-ups suck. SUCK. We have no depth anywhere. It is kind of scary. We can't lose DBs because their talent is far superior to the people under them, THE ADE. Pierson can do a good job though. We are thin at LB as it is but i guess holdman and rocky are in it so we could "afford" an injury there. Our d-line back-ups aren't horrible. From renaldo to bochetti but they aren't at the same level of griffin and carter.

RB is probably the only position i truly feel comfortable starting our number 2 instead of our number 1. I don't think anyone can replace Moss at WR. Lets hope that our position with the most depth can do what it needs to do.

Of course they're not going to be on the same level, that's why they are backups. I think we have good depth at every position except o-line and cornerback, but they're working hard to improve it. Don't forget that we just added Jeff Posey at linebacker, who is definitely good.
