Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
How can anyone not like this trade, his initials are TD! Ok, hokeyness aside, this is a fantastic move for the Redskins. This should ensure there won't be as much of a dropoff if Portis is dinged and provide a nice battering ram at the goal line and in short yardage situations.
Anyone else remember when Gibbs used to have a 3rd and 1 near mid-field, put Riggins or Riggs in and do play action and go deep? Worked almost everytime. Look for it again this year..

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
Gibbs has a bruiser for goalline situation, as well as another change of pace back. MJG has a good point, as I am happy with all 4 as well.
Plus, it makes it that much easier to keep Warrick Dunn in my keeper league (got him 5th round last year)

I posted it here in this thread on that link. I didn't provide a link to the denver paper because the link wasn't working. Here it is anyways Rocky Mountain News: Broncos & NFL It looked like kffl.com made a mistake and they already have a thing correcting it. Quote:

Foxsports is reporting we traded a Third to the Falcons, and then they traded a third to the Broncos.

I don't think we will have a clue of the peramaters of this deal until we hear it from Gibbs own mouth. |

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
it is a three way deal, all three parties got something in exchange theres no third to the falcons just lelie, and as far as tj goes it looks like the "DVD" connection in atlanta is finaly over, but personally i feel duckett has always been a beast, and now we might re-coup the third round loss with a trade of betts or maybe a solid corner. speaking of corners how is mike rumph fairing?

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
Guys, Im sorry to say I have not read 23 pages of this thread to see if this concern has been addressed. Duckett is a free agent at the end of this season, so is Ladell. If Ladell has any trade value, don't we have to move him now? Also, it is very very possible that we just gave away a 3rd rounder for the services of a backup for one lousy season.

Maybe we trade Ladell for a 3rd rounder from the Broncos!

Re: We traded for T.J. Duckett?
he is a restricted free agent at the end of this year soo that gives us more safety but betts is an unrestricted free agent which means anyone can bid on him we dont get first dibs.
