Way too much excitement about Campbell in this thread, in my opinion. Good arm, good pocket presence, makes the throws, yeah gee that's great.
But what about the turnovers? Throwing off the back foot against the Jets? Horrible decision. You can't win games by turning it over, it's the single most important statistic in all of football. Not passing yards, not passing TDs, not completion percentage, turnovers. He's not there yet. If Brunell goes down and Campbell goes in, I'll know he can lead the team and make plays. But I'll be crossing my fingers that he doesn't throw the game away every time. If he doesn't make smarter decisions, he'll be the kind of QB who gives games away.
