I would love to be in that lockeroom right now. This team is going to play so damn good when they come out, that we won't even remember the first half. This is vintage Gibbs, I hope.

If Gibbs yanks the playbook out of Saunders hands!
I understand though, at least he's practicing some new formations though.

They are taking turns getting man-handled.

Everybody on the line is getting beaten ... bad. Jansen got smoked by Mike Vrabel for a sack. No scheming, no complicated blitzes, just man on man, technique vs. technique.

Not looking good by the first teamers at all.

You know, the exact same thought crossed my mind. Jansen is still playing without thumbs. Or one thumb, I don't know. He's only in his 7th year. But in my mind, he's always been a B+ tackle -- solid, at times dominant, but will get beaten.

In other words, he's not in the league of Lachey, Munoz, Ogden, or Walter Jones.

Man, remember the days of having Jim Lachey, Ed Simmons, and Joe Jacoby all on one team? Three starting quality tackles. Those ays are long gone.

Yeah. 91 Lachey had a HOF year...aloud zero sacks and had 1 holding penalty! If it wasn't for his bad knees he'd be right up there of all-time easy!

Good riddance to Ladell Betts. He had 5 seasons to prove himself and there is no room for mediocrity. Without Portis we have no play action pass. Nobody is going to fear Betts, Sellers, or Cartwrights running.

Re: Redskins at Patriots Game Thread 8/26/06

Hahahahahahaha - this game brings back memories of the 36-0 bone up the a$$ we took from the Giants the Sunday after Mara passed away.

Pre-season means nothing, but you can learn a lot from it too. For one, it shows that our D is very ordinary without Griffin in the middle.

Three and out to start the 2nd half. Pitiful. Whatever the coaches said at in the locker room had very little effect.

Let's see if there is any pressure by the D-line on whoever is quarterback for the Pats.

Have we seen anything from Andre Carter yet? Has he been credited with so much as a hurry?

I've got a feelin Gibbs got Duck to help Cambell in his 1st starting season. Better run game, easier for young QB. I am a Brunell fan, but it's getting harder and harder.
