I don't agree about Trotter being "All That". He came without any fluid in his knee, and managed to be the leading tackler on an otherwise unspectacular D. He had no speed, and no hops.
Our D was not an attacking D, but, both of you and I would have quickly addapted our game.
Trotter didn't have a first step. There was a number of games where he didn't show up!
He just wasn't a force! Blame it on the knee. Blame it on the Defensive plan, blame it on the surrounding cast, but we could have won the 5 games without him. So, really, how did he make a difference?
To me, he just was not a difference maker!
