What Stallworth gives the Eagles is a serious deep threat. No he's not a stud. But he will stretch defenses. If you don't have CBs who can run with him and Reggie Brown (and right now I think we only have one, Carlos Rogers) then you'll have to give safety help over the top. That presents a challenge when you have to watch the middle of the field for LJ Smith who has speed, and you have to get on top of speedy Brian Westbrook in a hurry or else he'll bust one on you.

Stallworth's presence opens up the field for the Eagles just as Lloyd and Randle-El do for the 'Skins. It's not like they just signed Jerry Rice at his peak, but it's an improvement.

Difference is we don't need Lloyd or Randle El to come in and light things up. Philly is in a more desperate situation, you don't bring in a guy this late unless it's due to injury or you have serious doubts about the guys you already have.

Stallworth isn't quite the deep threat he was when he came into the league due to his injury problems.

While he could have an impact for them, I'm just not all that concerned.
