Sad thing about Todd is he really was a good guy. He went to my high school and although he was a few years older then me. I would still see him at high school parties. While he was at USC and on the Raiders.
He was alway's nice to me and most ever one. He didn't walk around like he was some football star. Which at the time he was. He just wanted to hang out.
I can remember him at my friends house in the back yard by the keg drinking beer and smoking pot. Just chilling with a couple of old high school buddies at the end of summer.
And I was thinking while it was cool to have Todd at our parties. Shouldn't he be getting ready for the season? And wasn't he being drug tested? We all know the answers to those qestions now. But back in 91 & 92 Todd had the world in his hands. Man he could play! He really could have been great QB. But he let it slip. Over drugs.
I think ever body plays sports for diffrent reasons. And some of those reasons aren't allway's there's. And that's why some pepole play untill they have to be draged of the feild and some leave in there prime. They all have diffrent resaons for playing the game.
I don't think any less of someone that leaves early. They need to do what's best for them.
