Rooting for minor injury?

Ok, I'll be the bad guy. Ive never said this before, and Im not proud of it, but Im rooting for a minor injury to Mark Brunnell, say a high ankle sprain. There are really only 2 conclusions to come to after watching last nights performance. First, Mark Brunnell will never ever take this team to a Super Bowl. Can we agree on that? Now, once you make that conclusion, the next step is easy. Gibbs will not bench Brunnell. He just won't do it. That's why pulling Ramsey like he did last year was so out of character, he sticks with his starter, and he is blinded by his faith in Brunnell. Sooooo, we can't win a Super Bowl with him, and he won't bench him.......Conclusion 2, gotta root for the minor injury. Im not saying a Theisman fracture or a blown out knee, but maybe a sprain would be nice. Id rather go 4-12 with Jason Campbell this year, than 8-8 with Brunnell. I know some of you will call for my body to be sacrificed on the Redskin Altar, but if you are painfully honest with yourself, you'll agree its the only way.

Re: Rooting for minor injury?

i dont want anyone to substain any injury. brunell is the starter here, in my opinion, until the redskins are out of the playoff chase. only then should campbell be put in the mix

I don't want any injury, but honestly, I don't want him to make enough plays next week to stay the starter. He just can't get it done.

Re: Rooting for minor injury?

I actually think we could lose to the Texans. I don't WANT to root for an injury, but given Gibbs refusal to make a QB change, I don't really feel like there is another option. If we can't go to the SB with the old man, then put Campbell in and at least build for next year.

Honestly, if Campbell went in, I don't think we'd be building at all. I really think he could win some games for us.

I have TiVo, so I really break down the plays. Did anyone else notice that we had WRs open, but Brunnell either could not or would not make the throw?

I don't have TiVo, but I could still see it a bunch of times, especially when they would show replays using the sky cam from right behind MB's head.

Great, you have TiVo. You still can't see the entire play and what the WRs are doing or what coverages are going on.

But I can see that someone is wide open crossing the middle of the field. Really Matt, this blind faith in Brunnell must stop if you are to maintain any credibility whatsoever.

This has nothing to do with Brunell or my perceived blind faith.

I've said he's not playing well, but I'll also continue to say the entire offense is not playing well.

We're not running the ball well, we're not blocking well, generally speaking we're just not executing well across the board.

The endless Brunell bashing doesn't hold much water to me. It's a very ignorant view to think that replacing the QB right now is going to solve anything.

To clarify about my blind faith, my faith lies with Gibbs and co. Players are interchangeable, I could really care less who is playing QB.

I prefer to look at the big picture. QB play is often reflective of the entire offensive unit. But I guess you already know that since you have TiVo.

Damn Matt don't take it out on me that the Skins suck. The only reason I even mentioned the TiVo was because its handy in backing up plays frame by frame. You can disagree without being an ass Matt.

Right.

You question my credibility and then sit there like you're the innocent victim. Please.

Sorry if you got your ass chapped about the TiVo comment, but hey I've got a DVR too and I can't see the WR routes and coverages. There are plenty of things going on that we can't see. I don't think it's as simple as saying I've got TiVo so I know what's wrong with the offense and it's all Brunell.
