After we cut Springs and Rogers, I'd like to see us resign Martin Mayhew and possibly Alvin Walton to help bolster our secondary.

Cut Springs? You're nuts. The surgery was supposed to be a FIX, not a bandaid. That's why they did it. With time he'll get fully healthy again. Once he's good to go he's the best corner in the league. We would be fools to trade him.

Don't be a Homer, Hess It's Deangelo. Springs is not a superhuman but he is better than the alternative. Although Wright and Rumph look better, I don't know which I'd choose, they've both made decent plays, but probably the guy from the U.

From Pro Football Prospectus 2006, "Shawn Springs was the top cornerback in the league according to our game charting numbers,"

Also from the same blurb: "expect the Redskins to have problems on third downs with slot receivers catching the ball right at the first down marker."

These guys really know what they are talking about.

That is exactly what has plagued this defense all year. They arent rerouting or playing their guys tight enough. That assesment is dead on but to the defense side.
