As for the Eagles, they are better than last year, but the usual suspects are getting a little carried away. They have beaten really, really bad teams and BLEW a game against the Giants which they should have won. Too many people are a little too quick to make grandiose statements about Donovan and they all seem top work for ESPN. Dan Patrick was ranting yesterday as though what Donovan had done this year proves once and for all that he is on par with the all time greats. Please. Still innacurate. Still plays without emotion. He will not be able to throw that pass to L.J Smith against good teams and then what will he have? They still can't run the football which is why they gave up the lead to the Giants. Yes, they are better and he is better because he is healthy, but to me that doesn't mean they are Super Bowl bound. This drives me nuts, because the Donovanists are going to push me to root for the Cowboys this weekend, because I don't think I can bear listening to them talk about how the Eagles have proved they are better without T.O. blah, blah, blah. The very idea that the Eagles were the victims of Owens is laughable. They were the ones that signed him. Caveat Emptor. They made an aggressive play for him when we all thought he was going to Baltimore. Now they're the victims. I don't think so.
