Prediction: Coaching staff next year?

Because losing gets old.. fast. We forget that few coaches have the type of loyalty fans do. This is their living, and losing doesn't help them get paid.

The thing is -- I have trouble blaming a new offense finding its footing. I also have a hard time thinking that Williams, who has run an incrediable defense since he's gotten here (and in other places) suddenly forgot to coach. I'd love to find out whats going on. I think the "too many egos" conspiracy may hold some water.

I still don't buy that theory, I am gonna stick with a lack of execution, and defense sucking theory. Oh wait, that is a fundamental law of the Skins this year.

I'm with you Daseal about the offense, though I sometimes wonder just how good the front five really are. I mean, Samuels, Jansen, Dockery, Rabach and Thomas aren't in the Top Five are they? Top Ten? Ultimately, they're all B+ players who just aren't consistent.

With defense, I maintain that what we're all seeing now was bound to happen. Especially with the D-line. The FO treats it as an afterthought -- grabbing has-beens, rejects, and one or two high priced free agents every 2 or 3 seasons like they're birthday shopping at the last minute for a relative they don't really care about.

Renaldo Wynn? Philip Daniels? Brandon Noble? Joe Salave'a was out of football for two seasons for crying out loud! Honestly, what did anybody think was going to happen to the defense when you sign guys like these and hope they can hold the line year after year? They hit the lottery with Griffin, and said, "Great! The D-line's taken care of, now show me the list of wideouts..."

This whole thing was a ticking timebomb -- and the clock is officially reading 00:00.

But the same logic applies to Gibbs and Saunders as well. Do you believe either one of those guys just suddenly forgot how to coach as well? Saunders has had the #1 offense for the past several seasons in KC. He is struggling this year, but so is GW. Our defense is ranked nearly last in every category. Why in the world would we think that GW or AS is ready to take over the ship from Gibbs?

I think we're just grasping at straws now because the team is not playing well. It seems like when we don't play well we just dream up stuff to make matters worse than what they are. There's no problem with this coaching staff and these guys are being coached properly, they're just not playing the way they're coached to play. You can't get blood out of a turnip, and right now this team is not playing good football, plain and simple. It's not one thing or one person, it the entire team so there's enough blame to go around.

The rumor I am hearing is that Gibbs is going to step down next season and hire Brunell as player coach, you know like in baseball.
