Archuleta is god awful. He is a huge liability for our D.

Re: Now it makes sense...

For all those complaining about Arhuleta I believe he leads the team in tackles. Why are people hating on him. Because of the money?

The D is horrendous at the cornerback spot. How about some complaining about Carlos Rodgers, without Springs he's useless. How about some complaing that the Defense can't get a turnover when it's handed to them in the breadbasket like Sunday afternoon when an interception was dropped.

I agree 100%. Seems as if everyone is looking for a single scapegoat, when there's blame to go all the way around on defense. The line has been horrible, the linebackers aren't performing up to par and even the linebacker coach admits this (see today's Post), and CBs are even worse than the line and LBs. Even ST, who seems to be viewed as a saint by many on this board, has made some glaring errors. It's not just AA and not just Carter - IT'S THE ENTIRE DEFENSE. It's easy to point the finger at one guy, because then you can fool yourself into thinking it's an easy fix. But, in doing so, you're just being self-delusional. The problems on "D" are much deeper than one player, unfortunately.

On the other hand, I think the problems on offense would improve greatly if one player were benched - that being Brunell.

JC stands for Jason Campbell, not Jesus Christ.

In case anyone thought we had a savior on the bench, we don't. We have a project (who I hope will be a great player one day).

And when will that "one day" ever come? Do we have to completely destroy this season before Campbell's day arrives? No, he's not a savior, but I do believe the offense won't be any worse with him behind center than it is with Brunell. In fact it will be better because, unlike Brunell, he has a strong arm and may actually be able to consistently complete passes downfield. Of course, as long as he's only allowed to hold a clipboard, we'll never know the answer to that question, will we? On the other hand, we already know the answer to the question - can Brunell lead us to the SB?

Mark me down as still being behind AA. We have problems across the board right now on defense. I'm not a big fan of singling guys out in times like these. I really think he's being singled out because of what he makes, let's blame the front office for that. He didn't write his own deal.

But hey, if it makes you feel better to rag on the guy don't let me stop you.

Are you sure he did not write his own deal? Thats right if he would have done his own contract we may have saved about 10 mil.

Re: Now it makes sense...

I went on to the skins website but couldn't get anything to play. Has anyone else had this problem? I'ld love to see the Archuletta interview.

In general Phil Collins to get you pumped up!!!!! What the #@$%$ is that?

PS. - In the Air Tonight is a cool song though.

Re: Now it makes sense...

I think the issue is that one reason he has a lot of tackles is that he's there too late. Meaning that if he were better in pass coverage he could help prevent completions and thus not need to make the tackle. If that makes sense

There's one thing I will say in Arch's defense, he has been a man about his misgivings, he's been the first to admit he's not playing well. That's more than I can say for some of our defenders who offer up nothing but excuses for their dreadful play.
