player...darrell green
the play....the punt return where he hurdled the defender against the bears in the playoffs i think it was 87...the year we won the superbowl with doug williams at qb. That play propelled us to victory 17-10

I'm pretty young, but 87? Geez, I'm starting to feel old. Does anyone else get that feeling when they see those "You must be born by _____ to buy alcohol and by ____ to buy cigs?"

It must suck to have missed the 1st Gibbs era. I was a wee little one then, but I remember the days fondly. I remember Gibbs' retirement announcement and how EVERYONE in the city felt like they had lost a parent.

Favorite Redskin ever - tossup between Darrell Green and Art Monk.

Moment - 2nd quarter of SB XXII, the first and STILL BEST Super Bowl I have watched.

Favorite Redskin - John Riggins

Favorite Play - 70 Chip in Super Bowl XVII (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjcZb...john%20riggins)

P.S. Enjoy the clip - you can't beat NFL Films with the late, great John Facenda narrating.

Re: Who is your Favorite Redskin and your favorite Redskin moment

Favorite Redskins - John Riggins and Darrell Green.

Favorite Plays... Three classics, of course: 70 Chip, 2nd Quarter of Super Bowl XXII, and the new classic moment of Santana Moss' 2 TDs at the end of the 4th quarter in Dallas last year. It's nice to have favorites from different eras.

And Sheriff Gonna Getcha... Since you're 27, I'll agree that you're young, being as I'm 32... But to the 16-20 year olds here... Well, just remember when YOU were that age and you saw other 27 year olds. Young probably wasn't one of the things you would have considered most of them.

I would have to agree with souperMeister. I also still love the time when Riggins came out in his Redskins uniform at the last game at RFK. All the other Redskins greats where on the field wearing there suits, and there's John Riggins 40 something years old wearing his old Skins uniform. He told Joe Theismann that day He just had to get that feeling and hear the crowd one more time.... Just thinking about it brings a tear to my eye. LOL. But really it was a great moment no doubt.
