I'm a big Trent Green fan. But does Damon Huard's success this year speak more about his abilities or less about Green's?

From what I've read KC has scaled back their offense quite a bit for Huard. Plus that offense is all about LJ regardless of who the QB is.

That would make sense. It is after all, no longer Vermeil/Saunders' offense.

The coach watches each of them all week during practice. I would guees their play during the weeks speaks for itself.

Is that why Green isn't starting?

If you're trying to say that the KC system is making Green look good instead of Green having talent then WOW Brunell really does suck!

Isn't it ironic that although most Skins fans would like to see a QB change that Brunell is actually ranked #8 in the NFL? I know it's because he doesn't throw a lot of INT's and that figures heavily into the equation but most people would I think like a QB change.

QB ratings mean nothing. David Carr was the #1 rated QB thru the 1st quarter of the season. Brunell isn't making enough plays to win games for us, that's the problem. First downs, 3rd down conversions and TD passes are the only things you want from your QB.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

No, I wasn't trying to say that. I mean Green has been in the system for several years. And he had Willie Roaf.

its funny to me how people are all for cutting half the team and upgrading. Guys like springs, jansen, and wynn are important to the team in bigger capacities than just on the field. We all saw what happened when one guy was cut from the secondary...do we really want to overhaul the whole team again. Keep as many players as you can, only sign new guys you have to bring in. For all the complaining about the front office of this team, many people on this board are just as bad. Signing a probowl player at every position doesn't always work.

It looked like some people were earlier talking about Jansen, Wynn, and Springs

yeah, that's true, some of the cut lists are a bit insane. wynn is a likely candidate if someone new (draft/FA) comes in though, cause of the savings. springs and jansen really aren't cut options though.

Green isn't going to fall to a #3 QB, let's get real here.

He's still starting quality and at worst a very solid #2.

I went to nfl.com and they show Prioleau on the roster still. Isn't he out for the year? Having him go down was a big blow to our defense. Hope he will be back better than ever next year.

yeah, ACL on the first play of the season, so we'll see him next year.

Does anyone think we can get a young tackle, that can play as good or better than Jansen, for 2.5 million? What's up with signing Kozlowski, he is 36. This aint the time to be signing anymore over the hill stop gap players. Why not sign a Buck Ortega, at least there is some up side. Kozlowski is not even going to play.
