I am not seeing Jansen playing that bad. I thought Brunnell rolled to his left because he was left handed. I was kind of suprised that Parcels said that about Jansen. The guy that I have been disapointed with is Samuels.

With as bad as Jansen has been playin' you'd think his thumbs were still broken!

samuels has played poorly in spots.. his weakness has always been speed rushers.. it is foolishness not to have given him help to contain freeney.. that was a coaching error.

still, his play has been superior to jansen's overall.

brunell rolls for the most part to escape pressure, although i am certain there are some designed roll outs.. that is another subject because when he does that, the field is so narrowed that the defense knows the ball is either going down the sideline or into the bench area.. either way, not very much chance of success.

Why do we need Clements? Who is going to be the nickel CB? Springs was supposed to be the 'glue' that held the defense together, does he get demoted? We draft Rogers #9 overall 2 years ago, does he get demoted? Clements isn't coming in to be a nickel CB, dude is a stud.. It would be great if Freeney comes free but don't count on it. We need to trade down in the draft (assuming a top 10 pick) to add picks to get a SS, DE, CB, WR and OL depth. Skill positions we are ok but we don't have the other strong pieces to round out the roster.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

dude, we have 1 1st round pick and that's it. and if we trade down, denver can give us an even worse first rounder. the CB crop isn't great this year, the DE crop is. and rogers would be demoted to the nickel, since he's not even near being close to the level that springs or clements are at. next year's SS is already on the roster - whether it's prioleau or vincent. and why do you think we need yet another WR?

I agree with you. Yeah, it would be cool to get Clements and Freeny, but now it is time to build thru the draft. We dont have the cap space for it. Everyone is up in arms about the poor play of the free agents, but yet most people are calling for more high priced free agents.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year (merged)

So long as Gibbs has final say over personel decisions we are going no where, at least talent wise, the buck stops with him, so AA, AC, JC, and RM [who the vertic is still out on] will continue to happen, not to mention his continued delusion that brunell is an NFL qb, the old dog will continue to return to his vomit, and continue to throw draft after draft away. After all if you are incapable of evaluating NFL established talent how in the world are you going to be able to evaluate talent coming out of college? Which is a huge reason Gibbs is so giddy about free agency to begin with.

We are right now poised to sink even further into obscurity if J.Campbell doesn't pan out, let's face it how long do you think Gibbs stick's with him if he can't handle the NFL? Will he give him 3 years like Brunell, or 3 minutes like Ramsey? Something tells me he will have just as tough of a time admitting Campbell is a bust [if it turns out that way] as he has had with Brunell.

So for all the experts out there who feel it is neccesary for a QB to have at least 2 years of playing experience, well you better hope Brunell can win the big one this year because we will be waiting quite a while for JC to actually be ready to take this team to a SB, that's if he's even capable of playing the position in the first place. Personally if it's taken him this long and he has yet to force himself onto the field especially considering what's playing in front of him, then how long will it take before JC master's an actual game? I don't even want to think about it.

As for Trent Green obviously some one from our scouting department must be posting here, the guy is going to be 37, he is right now being outplayed by a journeymen QB, he will not win his job back, and we want to take on that cast off? Does anyone think about building for the future? It's like george Allen never left.

Byron Leftwhich? Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
