yeah, do share though. make sure you let us know what FPS type games you DO like too, so the review is useful for comparison.

Well, I can give you my preferences on shooters now. Generally with first person shooters like Halo and Battlefield, I'll play the story mode once just to beat it, and then get a lot of use out of the online multiplayer matches.

I tend to lean more towards third person shooters, when I'm not online(Splinter Cell, SOCOM, etc). I'm a big fan of shooters that aren't so linear and allow more than one way to beat a level. If I play those type of games online, it's usually only the co-op modes, because the versus games generally turn into Halo style death matches.

From what I've read about Gears of War, it's most like SOCOM, since you're in control of a squad, and tactics are important. I've also read that the co-op is very well done.

from what we saw of it a month ago, I would consider it a melding of Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter, Halo, and Resident Evil 4. from 1st hand expirience this game is just absolutely incredible and deserving of every bit of hype.
