What are you talking about? Penn State plays in the Big 10 and has the same difficult schedule the other ten teams do. So they play some easy non-conference games, so does every other school in college football. They also had a non-conference game against Notre Dame this year. If you want to criticize the Penn State football program there is plenty of material with which to do that, but I don't think strength of schedule would be on that list. They have 3 losses to top 5 opponents, and their fourth loss is to a top 15 opponent.
