Obviously it did help PR. They wanted it bad and they deserved to win. As far as I am concerned, the whole Puerto Rican team should be in the NBA. While we may have not been together very long, it wasn't like these guys hadn't played in months and they get paid huge amounts of money to play in the NBA becuase of their supposed "talent".
Could you imagine the US sending over our 20th-40th best players in pro football or baseball and losing to a country that isn't even supposed to medal?
