Seriously though, one thing about Gibbs that I've always found curious is his inability to groom future coaches. I mean you see guys who played under him like Tice, Whisenhunt, and Grimm coaching and clearly being influenced by what they learned under him. But no one is thinking someone like Earnest Byner or Stan Hixon is a future head coaching prospect.

Also, I can't recall but during Gibbs' first tenure did he ever let go of a coach on his staff? I mean I know some left for other head coaching jobs like Joe Bugel. But I can't recall him ever just flat out sending a coach packing.
