Forget Freeney and forget Rice. It's Gaines Adams, baby. He's the answer. He is ready to play today.

Re: PFW's Top 10 Free Agents 2006
I'd like to pick up Steinbach or Dielman. Our O-Line definitely needs improvement. I say let Dockery go and replace Jansen. Leonard Davis is a free agent, but I doubt Arizona will let him go. Then, there's Pittsburgh's Max Starks, who I could see leaving. Saunders may want to bring in Jordan Black too from KC to replace Jansen.
Clements would be nice, but what about Asante Samuel? He's a free agent too. He's younger. He's improved every year, and the Pats always let guys go. I think the D-Line is best suited to improve through the draft with Gaines Adams. Replacing Big Joe maybe a good idea too. Hollis Thomas would be great right by C Griff. Could you imagine trying to run through them? I wonder if the Redskins will still go the big name acquisition route after this year. I would think so. Last year was the only recent year that I can remember where they didn't make a big splash in the Free Agent pool, and seeing as we don't have a whole lot of draft picks, we're going to have to do something. |

Capologists: What's the fallout if we ditch Jansen?

I wouldn't mind going after Justin Smith and Nate Clements and at the same time trimming some fat off the current roster. Then spend the draft going after a middle linebacker, some offensive line help, and some defensive line depth.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Jansen.
Sure he's not having a great year but who is along the OL?? I think it would be really premature to cut him. |

We have little choice--we have to go FA, given that we've committed to that route. Live by FA, die by FA.
I just hope that get young-ish guys, and DON'T OVERPAY! Then trade down our #1 for more picks.
