If you can get him for a decent price, pick him up NOW. Let's not forget how great this guy was. A coach like Parcells isn't exactly the type of guy to get a kicker back on his game. I think Gibbs will help him out a bit and he has always been accurate before.

Exactly! Fg kickers are like starting pitchers, the can get hot and cold. Does anyone remember David Akers when he was here? He wasn't terrible but he wasn't the probowler he his now.

best ever? um, no - he played in a dome and he ain't clutch. vinetari is ten times the kicker vandy is, and he can kick off himself.

that said, it would be a very good signing, considering.

Re: Cowboys Release Vanderjagt

He is the most accurate kicker in history, yes he missed vs New England in the playoffs and didnt do well in Dallas, but who cares, he didnt like the situation, whatever. Hes better then what we have and he can kick to ball to the goal line. We havent had a touch back in ten years it seems...

Re: Cowboys Release Vanderjagt

i'd still take akers or longwell or possibly rackers or wilkins over him. maybe he has nice stats, but best ever doesn't matter, it's who's the best right now.
