Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early

On another note: I went to the Redskins/Tampa game as well, and the dude I rode to the stadium with calls me around 4 mins. to go, and says, "start leaving at the 2 min. warning." I said, okay -- but there was no way I was leaving before the end. So, I just watch the rest of the game, and the guy starts freaking out while he's waiting for me (haha, doesn't get to leave when he wants, and he missed the ending -- serves him right!). He almost left without me -- which would have been completely cool with me. Then, when we're in the car, he's said, "Oh the bucs won by 10." I said, "Naw, if you woulda stayed to watch the end, you would've seen the Redskins score another TD, and then attempt to recover an onside kick." Why do people go to the game, with the intention of leaving early? WTF! You go to watch the game -- not to flaunt your ability to be there. RESPEK!

I didn't like it at all. It wasn't loud and people were real quiet. But the inside is really nice. Restaurants, TV's and bars everywhere. It's a mixture of a food court, sports bar and lounge all mixed in one.

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Fans leaving early is nothing new. I remember at RFK in 1996 against the Arizona Cardinals (with Boomer at QB) at 10:00 to go in the fourth and the Redskins went up 11 and 1/4 of the stadium clears out. The game had been wacky with all kinds of scoring going on and I couldn't imagine that the game was close to over.
Predictably the Cardinals wind up tyeing the game and we are going to over time! All along more fans had been trickling out but at this point, unbelievably another 1/3 of the stadium clears out. The OT goes all the way till about 1 minute to go, back and forth with both teams missing makable game winning kicks. By the time the game winning kick happened only 1/3 of the stadium was still there! My dad and I moved down during OT from the upper decks to the first level 50 yard line because their were so many empty seats! This wasn't some meaningless game either, the Skins were in the Playoff hunt at the time. Some people just have to beat the traffic no matter what's going on in the stadium. Makes you wonder why they pay for tickets if they care so little?
