Giants Vs. Panthers

Eli Manning really surprised me. For a rookie playing against the starting defense of the Super Bowl Runner ups, he looked very good (for a rookie).

I don't like to jinx our team by saying we wiil be able to run against the Giants because the superbowl runner up team can. I think that is a stretch. Team comparisons like we had a close game against Panthers and the Giants did not, so we will beat the Giants, does not work work in todays NFL. Anybody can beat anybody in todays NFL.
The Panthers have a balanced offense. We do not YET. I have no doubts Joe Gibbs will turn our offense into one of the best, but WHEN is the issue. It took Gibbs until game 5 in 1981 to get them going. We should not assume our offense will be at its peak by game 1 of this regular season.
