Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Ha, my problem was that I was voting based on the way the question was originally worded, but it must have changed right before I clicked it. Damn hanging chads.

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
I reset the poll to 0 so there's no way there's multiple people under the no category that shouldn't be, there's only 2 no votes up there right now.
AMD I'll change yours, now 3 no votes. |

I'm not trying to be an ass about this. I feel like 12th in that I am on the fence but I lean more towards the "no faith" side of the arguement. I love Gibbs and I'll always be grateful for what he was able to do for this franchise, but I'm just so sick of losing. Last season was great fun, but I really feel like we were very lucky to have had the success that we did and I think this year just proves it. We're in such a sticky situation right now and it really sucks. We all want consistancy for the future, but how long to we wait around? What happens if we finish 9-7 or worse next season, all while looking similiar to this season (in terms of penalties, lack of halftime adjustments, giving up big plays etc.), do we give Gibbs another chance in '08? At the same time, if it's true that Saunders system takes at least a season to master next year could be great. We'll probably come in under ther radar again, Portis will be healthy, and hopefully the defense will get their heads out of their collectives asses and start playing like they used to. So I guess that even though I don't have a ton of faith that next season will be much better I'd rather see the staff stay the way it is and pray that I'm wrong about them. Like everyone else here, I just want to see the Skins win.

Maybe I did something wrong, maybe my browser is quirky, maybe it was the matrix. I don't care anyways -- I like to look at the results and see that the overwhelming majority voted yes, even though the no's had some help.

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
I wholeheartedly support wholesale changes in the roster and coaching staff. We, as an organization, have been far too patient and conservative in our offseason strategies. I think it's about time that we tried something new, like kick out the coaching staff and find some real nice free agents this offseason. Haven't we learned that consistency has killed this franchise?
I say we sign a HoF head coach, a offensive guru who's consistently produced top-flight offenses, and a defensive coach who's coached top 10 defenses. As for the players, we need a big-money defensive end, a big money strong safety to complement Sean Taylor, and another receiving threat who can complement Santana Moss. |

I'm going to be an a$$hole for a second: didn't you also have faith that we'd make the playoffs this season?

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Okay, so Gibbs has a bad season his first year back in the NFL. Realistically, we should have expected him to have a bad 1st year. Then, Gibbs guides us to our first playoff berth in 6 years. I don't think anyone can complain about that. Finally, Gibbs has a bad year in 2006. So, now people are ready to junk him and go back to the pre-Gibbs II era? No thanks, I'll take my chances with a Gibbs.
I feel sick. |

As for talent I disagree. Spurrier left this team in shambles. When Gibbs arrived there were 2 legitimate NFL players on this team - Coles and Bailey - and both wanted out. |

One word what those teams have that we dont....hope. They have shown that they can build a team with good young talent through the draft and free agency, we have not. Plus, they are still in contention for the playoffs. |

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Maybe you don't have hope. But don't speak for everyone. I, and I'm sure many others, see a lot of young talent on this team. Campbell, Cooley, Moss, Portis, Lloyd, Taylor, McIntosh, Golston, Washington, (just to name a few)
