You have to remember that the coach coveted most by Snyder was OBC and had OBC become available a year sooner than there would have been no Marty or had OBC waited than Marty would have stayed another year of so. Another stupid move among many for this organization.

I doubt Marty would have stayed much longer though as he recognized how screwed up the Redskins FO was (and still is) and was asking for control which Snyder was never going to give him.
