Believe it or not, he actually entertains the audience.
The guy knows so much about football that he could lose 99% of the audience with one sentence. Guess what, that wouldn't make a good broadcast. The guy is the #1 ambassador of the NFL and he is the voice of the glory days. When I think of Madden, I think of January playoff victories in RFK. I guess you guys would rather hear Larry Michael or Aikman. |

![]() I love Madden. Although, I can totally understand why people don't. What's funny is that it's usually the same reason. The quote that Saden posted is a good example of why I like him, and also why people don't. He reminds me of Howard Stern in that regard. On another note, I would have to say that nobody provides the level of insight that Madden does.
