There were lots of things in this game that showed that he has alot of promise, ie his pass selection, calmness, mobility, poise, but when he misses 6 wide open recievers, I think that is terrible. Once he gets his accuracy down, he'll be a stud, but 6 easy misses is ridiculous.

Actually I believe your statement was that JC played "like absolute shit today." Clearly almost everyone here disagrees.

Nobody is putting words in your mouth - perhaps you initially overstated just how bad you thought he played.

For a kid playing in his 5th NFL game, I'd say he looked just how you'd expect a talented but young QB to look. Sure he missed some throws, missed some open receivers. He also landed some beauties and had a few dropped by receivers.

He's young, making some mistakes but steadily improving. Watch guys like Phillip Rivers on Sunday, or Alex Smith all last season, and we're really doing a hell of a lot better than some teams with young QBs.

I might add to that, Eli is still looking like a rookie, and he's in what his third year?

I think people forget that Campbell basically went from third string to starting. It's really not very often that a guy leap frogs the second string right into live action.
