Schneed, jsarno hasn't done anything (that I've seen) to warrant your snide remarks.

I disagree. He's trying to pump a roulette "system" that "Always works", while at the same time showing that he's afraid to try it with a significant amount of money on the line.

He has also said that he has written/is writing a book on this "system", and hopes one day to get it published.

That's part and parcel to crime in my opinion. Every gambling expert on Earth, including Donald Trump, knows that there is no way to consistently beat roulette. When I hear that someone plans on selling a book on how to make money when it's completely bogus, the first thing I think of is "con artist."

I think con artists are full of crap. And I'm not backing down from that stance.

If Jsarno was so confident in his system, he'd try it himself with something more significant than $5 on the line.

I do not play roulette but to say that a person who plans on selling a book about their system is a "con-artist", well then the world must be filled with them.

Just about every gambling book ever written tells you how to "win" at what ever game you are playing.

For example:

Thirteen Against the Bank - Author: Norman Leigh
The True Story of How a Roulette Team Broke the Bank With an Unbeatable System.

Professional Roulette Prediction: Volume 1 - Basic Methods - Author: Laurance Scott
Product Description
Professional Roulette Prediction: Volume 1 - Basic Methods presents the author's time-tested visual prediction method in an easy-to-understand format and is the first step in becoming serious about playing roulette for money. This is the most comprehensive analysis of the game ever published, an expert-level methodology that will teach you to beat roulette by visually predicting the outcome. All aspects of the game are covered, from commonly asked questions to determining your edge to strategy implementation.

About the Author
Laurance Scott is a legend in the world of professional roulette, playing internationally for many years both on teams and for himself, and helping players with his books and consultations. Few devotees of the wheel have as much experience and knowledge as this enigmatic figure, and fewer still have dared to share their secrets with the public.

The Roulette Formula - Author: Kimo Li
How to Predict the Exact Number

Here are just three books that can be easily found on Amazon.com when you search roulette. All three books claim that they can beat the "roulette system". Therefore all three must be "con artists". Like I said I dont care about roulette at all but to call someone a "con artist" simply because you feel strongly that their "system" is flawed, that is no better than a jehovah witness comming to your door and pumping their faith to you...

I am not defending a "system to beat roulette", all I am saying is that just because a poster on this web site wants to write a book about something that he/she feels strongly about shouldnt be called a "con artist."

To think that because a publisher published the book it isn't dumb or dishonest is foolish. Publishers publish books because they sell.

Any book that proposes to lay out a system to win at Roulette cannot be anything but either dishonest or moronic because THERE IS NO SYSTEM mathemtically possible. It has nothing to with opinion it has to with fact. If you can come up with a better description of a book that is dead wrong then I would like to hear it. Such a book would be misleading to it's readers.

Well I didn't call him a con-artist. I think he seems to fall more in the simply foolish category. I tend to think a good amount of the people writing any books purporting a roulette system are in fact con-artists. They're at least modern day snake oil salesmen in most cases.

Ok, you didnt call him a con artist, but you still state as if it were fact that anyone who writes such a thing as how to beat roulette to be a "modern day snake oil salesmen". Which is still only YOUR opinion...
