Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
Nothing against Mike Vick, I just don’t like as*holes. He doesn’t piss Chardonnay and fart Channel in my book. As far as I’m concerned, he can drink a gallon of kerosene and piss on a brush-fire.

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
All I'm saying if this was Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or any other pale-skinned QB this wouldn't be an issue. But you guys just can't accept that Vick has revolutionized the water bottle. 'Cause you're afraid of messing with your water/weed status quo. Blah blah blah blah

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
"Last year" and "senior year" are fairly synonymous. I don't really think that detracts from the plausibility of the story.

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
All I can say, with all the stupid things our team has done in the past with free agency etc. At least we did not swap our first round pick with San Deigo and give up other picks which became (LT, Merriman and their kicker Kaeding) for Micheal "Coach Killer" Vick. who is over hyped and until the lengthen the field to included the frist three rows of the stands will never be a good passer. The guy can running (which is what runningback do) and he has a cannon of the arm, which is why he over throws his receivers by 5-10 yards, but he is a horrible QB and will never win the super bowl.
So Atlanta has given up on a chance to draft what could be the greatest RB in history (if he keeps going with the numbers he is producing) to get this worthless peice of crap. They also traded away one of the greatest QB's ever to play the game (Brett Farve). Makes me feel a little better about our mistakes

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
I heard it wasn't even Mike Vick. It was this Ron Mexico guy that looks like him.

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
What gets me about this situation is the stupidity of this whole thing.
Look, I don't give a rat's ass whether or not Michael Vick smokes MJ - - so long as he doesn't do it at halftime of a game and then tank a second half. That would affect the integrity of the game. There's no evidence he does that kind of thing. I don't care if he screws more women that Wilt Chamberlain claimed to have bagged. That's his business and the business of the women - - not mine. Having said that, Michael Vick has a contract with the Atlanta Falcons worth a total of $128M according to reports. We all know he'll never see all of that because in the late years of the deal he'll have to renegotiate because his cap number will become astronomical, but he'll collect a gigantic chunk of change from the team over the years. Add to that the fact that he has endorsement deals and stands to get more of them when he has good years on the field. And with all that staring him in the face, he's stupid enough to try to take a phony water bottle with some "stuff that smells like marijuana" in the secret compartment onto an airplane? That makes me think his IQ is somewhere near his uniform number. As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a maroon!"

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
Does everyone really hate Vick this much or are you just jealous of him?
Athletes do stupid things just like regular people. The only difference is when they do it everyone hears about it. Who cares about a water bottle or his brother, the guy is fun to watch (especially when Taylor violently slings him out of bounds). |

Re: Michael Vick vs. Old Habits
If I'm the Falcons I find a way to trade Vick. Not because of this latest incident, but just because I don't see any way this guy will ever be a Super Bowl QB. Trade him and go with Schaub.
