I got one and it made a HUGE difference in EVERYTHING...showers and shampoo (lather MUCH better), I use less laundry detergent because it foams up like crazy without hardly any, dishes in dishwasher get cleaner with less soap, heck...even soap for your hands works better and your hands stay nice instead of dry. Water boils really fast when cooking and the food tastes better without the crap from the local farms in it and like you said...your tap water (I have a reverse osmosis faucet for cooking and drinking) is some "high quality H2O".
