Re: Skins looking for new MLB; Marshall back to the outside?
Of all the moves everyone bitches about the one that actually bothers me is losing Pierce. We f*cked that one up big time. Actually makes me mad. The rest I can understand the thought behind. That one I just don't get. Ugh.

Re: Skins looking for new MLB; Marshall back to the outside?
Of the things Joe2 regularly side steps in his interviews, he soes step to the plate on that one. I have heard him several times say (regarding Pierce) "that's one we let get away" "like to have another shot at that one". UNfortunate, but I have no problem with that. lesson learned.

Re: Skins looking for new MLB; Marshall back to the outside?
Neither bothers me. I understood the reasoning behind both at the time. The results weren't what we wanted but that is not a function of the decision. If we know something is going to not work and we still make a bad decision then that bothers me. When we can't make right and keep Pierec we KNOW that we are going to lose him. To think we can drop our QBMLB and just up and replace him was foolish on top of simply not doing enough to keep him.

I don't know -- with all the help we need on D, that 3rd round pick sure would have been nice come April. Plus, they already had Ladell and Rock backing up Portis. Then with the word that Gibbs was worried the Eagles would get TJ, it was clear proof that somebody at Redskin Park overreacted in a severe way. That's the problem I have with that mentality -- this team gives away draft picks like fast food restaurants give away Sweet N' Low and creamers. (Great signature by the way, for anyone interested) A third round pick is gold in this day and age. To fall all over themselves and then totally waste Duckett once they got him had 'bad decision' written all over it from the get-go. You're a much more forgiving person than I am. |
