Think its good news for the Redskins. Wade Phillips is a pretty weak coach in my estimation. No way they are as good without "THE TUNA".

Interesting tidbit on the Dan Patrick show today ... of the 24 Super Bowl winning coaches, only 3 -- Bill Belichick(Browns), Mike Shanahan (Raiders), and Weeb Eubank -- won it in their second go-round as head coach.

Yeah, you're right. Jon Cybil was wrong on that one then (he was the guest host).

Still, the point is retread head coaches are rarely successful. Not saying that it can't be done, but just look at the numbers.

Jon Gruden? Tony Dungy?

There have been a few that have at least made it back to the Big Game as well: Holmgren, Reeves, Parcells...can't remember if Bobby Ross was at Detroit before or after San Diego.

I am not sure of Weeb Eubank, but Jon Gruden and Tony Dungy dont really fit. Once they were head coaches they stayed there. Unlike Shanahan, Belichick and Vermil. They either stepped down to a coodinator position or retired and then came back into the headcoach position. After Tampa Bay Dungy went to be a headcoach for the Colts and the same for Gruden after Oakland he went to be the headcoach for Tampa they didnt go back down to a coordinator or position coach.

Okay, I guess. How about Don Shula: Colts then Dolphins? Marv Levy: Chiefs then Bills (I know he lost with the Bills but...).
