So go ahead call me a hater if you like, when they start running this team the right way i give them credit for it, but as of right now forget it im tired of the hype year in and year out i want result not B.S.

we don't need you or anyone else to "tell it like it is", we know how it is. we don't like losing every year, what we hate is people who cry and complaine all the time about the front office or the skins winning the off-season. you know how this front office does its buisness, you know how they like to try and build a team. this is nothing new. if your tired of it or you don't like it, go root for a different team instead of pissing and moaning around hear.

That's what I'm saying. Preach on brother Wolfe.

I mean, it seems to me like two out of every three posts that Chief Chuck writes are about how the team sucks, they'll never win as long as Snyder is the owner, he's only the "true fan" because he cares oh so much. Thing is, why does he gotta keep coming on here just to complain. Especially, if he's said one more than one occasion the team will never win as long as Snyder is in charge. For now at least, DS ain't going anywhere so if you think they're not going to win why bother spending time on this site.

Re: It's Time For The Skins' Super Bowl Starting With Free Agency

I think there are legitimate reasons to be concerned about how some decisions have been made with the Redskins. Fans have a right to air their grievances, and this is the place they are going to do it.

That said, I have great faith in Coach Gibbs and I am sure he will learn from mistakes that have been made recently. I hope that things change on the defensive side of the equation, and that GW doesn't have such free sway to make personnel choices. He seems to have had a hubris problem; hopefully this past season has given him humility.

I think we are in very good shape on offense. We have a lot of challenges on defense. Springs will be gone and with his injury problems that is for the best given our depth issues at corner. We will be fortunate to sign Nate Clements. Our high draft choice will hopefully solve a problem on the defensive line. The linebacker coach is gone and that is a plus - perhaps we will see what Rocky can do now.

I have a lot of hope - the Redskins have to change a lot of things, but they are smart and I think they will learn and adapt and make good choices.

Amen, brother Wolfe!
I love this time of year. I love the way the Skins go after players. The whole Redskin One treatment is very impressive. I would like to see somewhat more conservatism here and there, but it's great. I can't wait to see who they go after.

Are you serious? The FA way does not work. It never works. But I guess even some of the fans are buying into it.

At this point this is their only chance. Gibbs is probably gone after this year whether they have a good year or not. He isn't coaching in '07 to rebuild.

So I guess what the FA office is trying to do is win one for Joe.

Several points:
Yes, I'm serious
Because they have not had the intended success they wanted yet, does not mean they won't.
I don't believe I suggested the FA works or does not. FA is DEFINATELY a useful tool.
I do think I made a call for more conservative choices.
Basically, I just stated, I like the excitement generated by the whole thing.
I'm not sure what you think I am "buying" in to?.............Do you?

I just hope it's ALOT more conservative. It's not useful the way we do it. Overpay for guys who don't deserve to be paid and let what we call core guys play elsewhere.

But what pisses me off most is when March 1st hits a plane will be sent to Buff. and a big signing bonus will be offered to Nate C. And while we are there we are going to pick up Fletcher too. Meanwhile Dock is sitting on the outside and is not signed yet. Always chasing other teams players when one of our core guys is not signed yet. Sends are real bad message in the locker room.

on the brighter side, anyone who's been here the last few years has already gotten that message loud and clear.... oh wait.

Are you serious? Of course free agency works. Dallas used it in their glory years, St. Louis, New England, Denver......all of these teams have won Super Bowls using free agents.

Dallas built its team with draft picks , Emmit , Irvin , Aikman , harper , johnson ,,, the d line < traded for Haley > the lb's and the DB's ,,, minus prime rib sanders . Not sure about the Rams , but the Pats were built through the draft , except for a few players like Harrison and dillon < won 2 SB's without dillon > . FA is a tool , but it will be very hard to win year in and out without strong drafts most years .

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that built their teams soley on FA, but they did pick up some key players through FA, which means that to say FA never works would be an inaccurate statement.
