my worry is... say we let him walk and steinbach signs with another team.. where do we go from there?!

The Cards just let Leonard Davis walk. He's a little on the heavy side, and never reached his potential. But perhaps a fresh new start will help him. He would probably come cheap too.

Resigning Pucillo could be an option. Theres plenty of starting caliber Guards every year who slip under the radar. Pucillo might be one, but there are probably a few more in FA.
