His versatility alone adds enough value for me. I think at guard he'd be just as good as Dock and with being able to slide over for the oft nicked Samuels is really a blessing. me too, I'm worried about this one. I wish we could just suck it up & draft a guard in the later rnds, bring a couple undrafted rooks in & sign a vet or 2 post 6/1 when more fa's will be available, rather than for the quick fix w/a guy who from all indications does not sound like he's shown the passion & fire that this line needs. I would rather see a youngster who is less gifted but is firey & wants to win.
If he would sign for about an $8mil bonus he may be worth the chance, but I doubt that.
Davis is looking for a payday no doubt. I hope we're just toying w/the cowpokes & they sign him for a $18mil bonus like Dock got!
