Oh that makes more sense. Not sure if I like it, but as long as we can get something like a second for Springs it could work. This whole Springs thing is getting kind of ugly.

Even a 3rd for him would be fine by me. Springs is getting older. A 3rd rounder would net us a pretty good LG who'd be cheap and, of course, very young.

makes sense shawn springs and the 6th overall pick for dre bly, and the broncos first 2 picks that way we can ger bly and pick up an extra pick to get depth and at 21 we can draft quentin moses, charles johnson, or jarvis moss

Schneed - if the Skins got that in a trade I would be quite happy. One more thing to add to you pluses - in addition to having much more depth in the trade analysis you provided by trading down from #6 to all the things you said it would probably help tremendously with the salary cap because I would think that the #6 pick is going to demand a ton of money with a huge signing bonus. Last year Vernon Davis was the 6th pick by SF and his contract was a five-year contract worth roughly $23 million.

To me the gems of the draft are rounds 2-4 - relatively cheap as far as contract demands but a lot of them are talented enough to start in the nfl if you got a good scouting department.

I agree with everything you said except no one is going to give a 2nd for Shawn Springs. Probably more like a 4th or 5th. The trade with Denver would be GREAT, though the Skins would probably have to move one of those other picks if they wanted to move up and get Okoye, I don't think he'll be around at 21.
