If your a linebacker in the NFL. You've gone to two pro-bowls... you really want to make your money soon. I mean your one freak injury away from losing your big day.

He's got his pay-day in his grasp, and Chicago franchised him and that really pisses him off. It would piss me off as well, and I don't think it directly reflects anything about his character. The NFL is a business, and business wise that's a smart choice. I have no problem with his decisions.

As far as filling the needs, I understand that. But the same kind of philosophical thinking that goes into the "draft the best player available", is it that much of a stretch when a pro-bowl young quality proven linebacker is on the market? Get him because he's there.

I tend to dis-agree with this thinking, but when the offer is on the table to loiter around inside your head... the idea sounds better and better.
