Really? Me and my friend were thinking about going to see it tonight. The trailer looks pretty good.

i'm greatly anticipating the dark knight rises on july 20th. if anyone had any interest in viewing a clip of the prologue, feel free to pm me. tom hardy's career has really taken off since his role in nolan's inception. he plays bane in this one. this movie concludes the 3 part series with christian bale.

Am I the only one who wishes Nolan would keep putting these out? I hate that it feels like we have a reboot of a comic franchise every few years. He has mastered the genre and I understand wanting to go out on top, but man, he could do at least 2 more and still have them be amazing.

i see what you're saying but i think he has run himself out of ammunition. i think 3 was the plan for nolan/bale and each movie was paced accordingly.

i liked driver as well. some parts really bothered me until i remembered that it was based on a book. one part that really bothered me was after he hit hellboy's car there was no visible damage to his. both of his headlights were still shining. the soundtrack was amazing, and the character reminded me of the character from gta3.

yeah I watched it last nite and noticed that too, especially as hard as he hit that car his car would have been lucky to still be driveable.Didnt care for the ending either

i chalked the ending up to the book. i've never read it, i just figured that's how the story had to go. gosling's been busy. did anyone catch "the ides of march"? that was pretty sharp if you can dig that type of political dramarama

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Ive been watching a ton of old westerns on netflix instant. They have a huge assortment of old Bill Elliott, Roy Rogers, Alan Lane, as well as some John Wayne films in there. Dont forget about the good ol spaghetti westerns as well. Good ones in instant, as well as a hot as flaming hell Raquel Welch in 100 Rifles. Roy Rogers though, is my favorite by far. Great films, even though most of them are only 55 - 70 minutes long. Those old matinee preshow westerns!!!!!!!!

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Anyone see Chronicle this weekend? Been thinking about seeing it next weekend but I wanna get some reviews on it first. A friend of a friend said it was pretty good.

Thought it was pretty awesome especially after finding out it was done on a $12 million budget. As a loner in high school I definitely could see myself in the shoes of the main character Andrew. This is also the first movie I've seen from the first person/ hand held camera style that I enjoyed.

Just saw it tonight. It was okay. Big on special effects, small on storyline. It had no sense of direction. The telekinesis was kinda cool though.

I did enjoy how they blurred the lines between protagonist/antagonist in the movie. I found myself rooting for the main character at first it by the end of the movie it was obvious he needed to go.
