Yeah, that's the reaction my brother had as well.

I'm not looking for a deep symbolic artistic movie here. A bunch of transforming machines fighting is a bunch of transforming machines fighting, you either hate it or love it....

Personally, I enjoyed independence day, I was entertained, and I'm hoping Transformers will give me something. Maybe Spielberg can pull this out of his ass (although the fact that Bay is doing it kind of makes me skeptical).

Regardless, I'm going to see it in theaters.
