Re: trade with pats

I agree 100% Asante Samuels is a great corner. Make the trade if the people in the front office can pay the man JUST enough to keep him happy. I would have had a hard time accepting the Lance Briggs trade, but this trade would make some sense. We need to make stopping the pass #1 priority!

The trade sounds good, but their is a disparity in the value. The 6th pick and S. Springs won't be enough for a "franchise-tagged player," the 24th pick, and a 3rd rounder.

I say this because the link below shows the draft pick value chart, and if one were to posulate the the A. Samuel addition to the trade would put the trade at an unequal plane. ESPN.com - NFL/DRAFT06 - NFL draft-pick value chart

It would be great for us, but I highly doubt it will come to fruition.

First off, what's a "true rumor" Secondly, PM me and tell me where you basically found the info. You said the Boston Herald and the Pats sites, just tell me what you clicked on and I'll find it and post the link for you. And finally, you need to curb your attitude

Re: trade with pats

I Googled "Asante Samuel trade Redskins," and the only thing I found that wasn't from a fan site/message board was this tiny write up in the Wash Times. And all it says is we might call the Pats to inquire about Samuel.

Redskins add another corner - Sports - The Washington Times, America's Newspaper
