Re: The Official First Unofficial Predict the Opening Day Roster Thread
Landry will start over PP, unless he doesnt have the head yet for the pro game, but I am sure he will get it down pat. His pass rushing and hitting will be sorely needed if we do not address the inadequate D line needs before week 1 comes. It would be cool to see Palmer actually show some promise and he gets the #3 spot, but he will probably be heading to Europe til we let Collins and MB go next year. I do not like the fact that we will have two aged vets as backups and would like to see Palmer in there and get a lot of reps come preseason. If JC goes down, I would like to know that we are going to replace JC's howitzer with another one, not a pop gun like we have in MB or Colllins.

I was all for that a few months ago, but not now with the addition of Landry

You didn't get it. I was messing with you. There is a thread called the 1-4-6 defense. If you would like to read it. It's crap though so please don't post on it.

Re: The Official First Unofficial Predict the Opening Day Roster Thread
No, start Landry now, he is the man. We started Champ ASAP, SMoot ASAP and they were studs here. Taylor started ASAP and is the human missile. We could use another human missile that can be utilized for a pass rush in lieu of our present predicament with the D line. We might not have Springs come Week 1 so putting him at S might not be an option anyway. IF he does stay, we need him with Smooty at CB, not Rogers.

Re: The Official First Unofficial Predict the Opening Day Roster Thread
0Okay : This is assuming no one gets cut and we only pick up a couple of guys and it is supprising just how set this roster is - Other than DL I am quite happy with the strength in depth and starters .
QB: Cambell, Brunell, Development player (Spinner/Carlson etc) - having two aging vetrans is unlikely (3/3) RB: Portis, Betts, Cartwright (3/6) WR: Moss, ARE/Lloyd, Thrash, Espy/development/june 1st cast off) (5/11) OL: Jansen, Thomas, Raybach, WADE, Samuels, Pucillio (also back up TE), Lofu, Tucker (8/19) FB: Sellers, Nemo (2/21) TE: Cooley, Yoda/developmental player (2/23) DL: Carter, Golsten, Griffin, Daniels, Wynn, Montgomery, Evans, Green, June 1st cut) (9/32) LB: Washington, Fletcher, McIntosh/Marshell, Sarts - also plays a chris Clemons situational pass rushing end role, Campbell, Blades (7/39) CB : Springs, Rogers - i still don't get the hate, Smoot - or the love, Mackin, Jimoha (5/44) S : Taylor, Preliou, Landry, Stoutmire/Fox/Dougherty fight out for 1 or 2 roster spots as in the past we have gone with 4 CB and 5 S or 5 CB and 4 S and has some interchangability. (5/49) K : Suisham (1/50) P: Frost (1/51) LS: Albright (1/52) The final roster spot goes to area of need or stand out special teams guys. |
