Ellis is coming off an achilles injury, last years 1st rounder, Bobby Carpenter is a better ILB than OLB so Spencer made a lot of sense.

Not only can Spencer get after the passer, but he had 93 tackles drom a DE spot and 26.5 of thoise were tackles for a loss.

Combine this with a proven commidity defensive coach in Phillips, Im licking my chops.

Has a team ever tried to play two college DEs at the OLB position in the 3-4, much less two first round DEs? Isn't this unprecidented?

Not saying it won't work, because if said players are talented enough it will work fine, but it just seems unbalanced to me.

If this team ever gets a coach who wants to move back to the 4-3, it would be a disaster.
