I'm above you because I'm not an idiot.

It would not be possible from a cap standpoint because trading Sean Taylor would hit us with a 4 million dollar cap hit. Plus, we'd have to pay Briggs. We only have 5 million in cap room currently, meaning we couldn't sign Landry or any rookies.

This site is in some dire need of some quality control. We've got morons running amok creating any goddamn thread they want talking about trades that would only work in Madden.

WTF
schneed i love you man i was gonna say this but i am not a veteran so u bascially took the words out of my mouth

Hey guys, I didn't mean any disrespect. Sorry if that offended any of you. But, please try not to judge me for using the "c" word. And, I'm pretty well educated for public school. Sorry again

Re: What if we traded Taylo for Briggs.

If you're going to start a thread about a trade, at least know what the fuck you're talking about.

I don't have a problem with people not understanding the salary cap, but if you're going to clutter the board with trade ideas, then understanding the cap should be mandatory.

Study the fuck up.

Preach Schneed, preach.

This thread needs to be closed down. Smoot, Matty, TMC, whomever. Let's end this ridiculous topic.

Re: What if we traded Taylo for Briggs.

If they wanted the trade, they would find a way to do it. The Raiders made the Patriots absorb Moss's cap space.

I think morons like you, that use profanity the way you do, should not be suspended for a while. Thats just me.

Re: What if we traded Taylo for Briggs.

Listen, TO Killa, I'll man up and apologize for the profanity and whatnot, because that was me clearly violating the forum's etiquette.

But man, your thread is just so off base. I really think people should refrain from starting threads regarding trades unless they really know what they're talking about. These threads clutter the board, and this is supposed to be a site for discussion for the "knowledgeable fan." You clearly need work on the salary cap stuff. We've already restructured a bunch of players, including Renaldo Wynn. There simply aren't enough players to cut in order to clear the space. The Raiders/Patriots deal with Moss is a totally different and irrelevant situation; the Raiders and Patriots do not have their contracts structured like we do.

So sorry for the profanity, and for calling you names, and all that crap. But my opinion of you stands; you don't know what you're talking about, and you shouldn't have started this thread.

Re: What if we traded Taylo for Briggs.

Hey, I am irritated with Taylor. Our team was 5-11, we don't need more BS. As for cluttering the boards, I personally have not seen enough on the boards, lately. At least we all had an opinion, and it generated some excitement. I know Joe Gibbs, he does not take this sort of thing lately. If he pushes it to far, he will never play for him again. At that point, he will have to be traded. Sorry, if I offended anyone.

Uh, i think u meant LIGHTLY, gibbs doesn't take this sort of thing lightly. If that was your point it is a semi-valid one. The Gibbs-Taylor friction has been well-documented since Gibb's took over. Basically Gibbs' only ultimatum to the team has been not to embarrass the group as a whole. Now while I do love Taylor, he has broken this rule repeatedly and handled himself in a very UN-redskinlike way. From the gun charges to the numerous fines AND the spitting incident, the guy's behavior is just like his play...with total reckless abandon. This OTA situation specifically may not be anything, but the overall issue is that he and the team are constantly bumping heads, the latest of which is a money thing. I honestly think that the best way to get through to him is through Snyder. Give him a big paycheck with many provisions for behavior and attendance. U know, make it so that if he wants to see that money he will have to be on his best behavior.

Schneed, i feel where u are coming from, though i don't condone ur temporary lapse in judgment to drop those F-bombs.
