i live in an apartment though so for right now i am good cause i am going to college in winter 2008 so i am saving as much as i can right now i am up to 11,000 dollars in my savings and 3,000 in my checking

yeah but it is hard not buying stuff you want so i purposely hid the atm card for my savings acount and now i cant remember where it is

I know it is hard, but I am determined. After I pay all of my bills I keep 500 in my checking and put everything else into savings. Whatever I do not use out of my checking goes into savings the following payday. My wife does the same thing. We each have that allowance, but it is all we get for gas, haircuts, drycleaning, entertainment whatever.
