Re: What does everyone read?
Yeah, but I read Choke about 5 years ago and I have trouble remembering it now. I've been thinking about re-reading all of his books.
Fight Club was my favorite but I also really liked Diary.

I like Chuck's books but they are kind of hard to follow at times. |

It's not like his other books because he works in a bunch of his short stories, but they are supposed to be written by the characters in the book itself. There are also a ton of main characters, who all use pseudonyms, so that's hard to keep track of. Maybe I'll give that one another shot because I don't have anything else to read right now.

Re: What does everyone read?
Lonesome Dove was a huge deal when it was on. Robert Duvall's performance is among the greatest of all time. I love it when he says to Robert Urich?, "He's going to find a tree to hang you from, son." Masterful.
Everybody I knew, and I mean EVERYBODY was watching that show.

If you want to read something really gross by him read the first story, 'Testy Festy' in his collection "Stranger Than Fiction." The worst part is that it, and everything else in the book, is a true story.

![]() Chuck's own father was obviously screwed up, and I'm sure that influenced his life. In fact, his father was eventually murdered by the ex-husband of a woman he seeing. Like I said in my first post, he's my favorite writer so I've read up on him, basically through wikipedia and some of the stories in STF.
