My 4th was good. We just grilled and chilled. The pool was a bit cold for my taste so I nixed the swimming.

Good. Saw Transformers with some friends. Then met up with more friends to see some AA baseball. It was a doubleheader. We were going to stay for both and then the fireworks afterward. But toward the end of the first game it started pouring.

So I just came home. Rain cleared up enough for me to see some fireworks from my balcony but it's pouring again

If it's any consolation I'm doing some work right now.

Plus I've had to work many July 4th. I think this year is only the second or third in the last decade that I had off.

Sounds like you had a good day. I saw no fireworks this evening, but I can hear them going off around the neighborhood. They will be going off all night unfortunately. Stupid people around here forget most of us have to work tomorrow.
