Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
According to the Washington Post, the Wizards have offered DeShawn 4 years, $12 million. Very low offer

Yeah but Stevenson offers defense. You gonna watch any of the summer league games?

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
Stevenson does offer defense, but he totally tanked in the playoffs. I know he's not used to being the primary scorer, but when you have injuries, you have to step up your game....especially when you're missing your biggest scorers. Poor Jamison had to carry the team on his back....

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
I'll be checking out a few of the summer league games. OPEC/Pesh did a solid job last summer when he and Blatche were playing together. I hope he has improved since then, though.
I was glad to see us offer Deshawn that much. I think that is the starting bid, not necessarily our walk away offer, but JCN definitely provides Ernie with some additional leverage. I'd love to keep both of them, but if we need to use JCN as a chip to offload Etan, I'll be alright with that, provided we get more than James Posey in return.

I would think that he would be the 2nd option off the bench after Songaila. I guess its too early to tell, but I hope he gets plenty of PT. He's supposed to take over after Jamison leaves. |

Songaila is actually someone else to watch out for in 2007

Re: The Official 2007 NBA Draft Thread
Definitely. He should be 100% by now, and he showed flashes last season. He had some really good games. Both him and Blatche are the key to the Wizards bench scoring. It all starts with them.
Have you heard any rumors about trading Haywood? Is anyone interested in that bum? |
