Florida is a tougher school to get into than LSU, especially out of state. Did you not apply to LSU? Give Florida a chance my man. It's an amazing school and with a great reputation that is only getting better. Good for you for having a good amount of savings to get through the year. I would definitely recommend you stay as far away from student loans as you can. Anyway, do you know what apartment complex you're living in?

Huh, that is surprising to me. Anyway, try to keep an open mind about Florida. Granted I'm biased as an alum, but it is an excellent school. Is your girlfriend planning on transferring as well? Some apartment complexes I recommend: Campus Club, Campus Lodge, The Estates (all 3 have furnished units available, plus internet, cable, utilities and alarm system included in rent), Hidden Lake (where I've lived the past 4 years), Countryside, The Reserve, The Gables... Those are a few of the better complexes as far as amenities/living quality are concerned.
