You're right B.Mitch was a game changer, but I think Nelms, more than anything, reflected the personality of the team he was playing with at the time and that of Joe Gibbs.

If you guys ever wanted to know what Coach Gibbs refers to when he says a "core Skin", Mike Nelms was it; Wasn't the only one, by far, but he was one of those guys that just showed up to work day in and day out.

That was one the the all time great performance's on MNF !! NFL network should air that game sometime , was that 1975 ? J. Washington had a night like that also on MNF < as a Colt > , but I do not remember JW returning much for us !

funny... nelms owned the toyota dealership i work at now, but he sold it to us in february, but I see him from time to time... he was in on tuesday as a matter of fact.

nice guy as far as I can tell... hes always smiling and talks to everyone, even the cleanup guys, and doesn't talk down to anyone...
